Central Jakarta Regional Tax Office increases market access program for MSMEs

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Central Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DJP) is enhancing its market access program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the “Meet the Market” (MTM) program.

“The Central Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes has launched a new concept for the MSME empowerment program, ‘Meet the Market’, which is an innovative initiative to enhance market access for MSMEs within the Central Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes and PKN STAN,” said Head of the East Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes, Eddi Wahyudi in Jakarta, Thursday.

This innovation is implemented through an online catalog platform that makes it easier for MSMEs to reach new consumers.

This program is a collaboration between the Central Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes and PKN STAN, the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI).

In addition, this program aims to overcome the limitations often faced by MSMEs, such as limited market access and difficulties in selling products sustainably.

The “Meet the Market” program not only provides training, but also provides concrete solutions by connecting MSMEs directly with consumers, especially within the DJP Regional Office and PKN STAN.

By increasing the capacity and digitalization of MSMEs through this program, said Eddi, MSMEs also receive intensive training in business management, digital marketing strategies and improving product quality so that they are better prepared to face increasingly tight market competition.

In addition, with the online catalog, the transaction process becomes easier and more efficient for work units that want to support local products. This initiative not only helps MSMEs increase turnover, but also strengthens the local economy and encourages the sustainability of small businesses.

The commitment to empowering MSMEs through “Meet the Market” also encourages all work units at the Central Jakarta DJP Regional Office and PKN STAN to purchase MSME products from the online catalog which includes various local products such as culinary, fashion and crafts.

The “Meet the Market” program is a real form of our support for the growth of MSMEs by not only providing training, but also creating broad and sustainable market access. “We believe this initiative will have a significant impact on MSMEs,” said Eddi.

In addition, this strong and sustainable collaboration can also build stronger synergy between units within the Ministry of Finance in empowering MSMEs, while increasing tax compliance for MSMEs.
